Electronics direct from Shenzhen factories, with the paperwork Australia actually asks for.
Portable power stations, home battery storage, smart home devices, IP cameras, smartwatches and chargers, made by the factories that build them for global brands. We check the certificates against Australian rules before you pay, and inspect every order before it ships.
The short answer: We source electronics direct from Shenzhen factories and check them against Australian rules before you pay: ACMA compliance and the RCM for radio and telecom products, and EESS registration for in-scope electrical equipment through an Australian responsible supplier. Duty is generally nil under ChAFTA with origin paperwork, and GST is 10%.
The cheapest part of importing electronics is the product. The expensive part is the paperwork you did not check.
Electronics fail at the border, not in the factory: a missing certificate, a test report for a different model, a battery shipped without its transport test, a radio device without the approval your market needs. Each one can mean a held shipment, a relabelling job or stock you cannot legally sell.
We start from the rules where you sell. Before a deposit is paid we check that the factory's certificates and test reports cover the exact model for Australia, then we inspect the goods before they leave Shenzhen.

GST: 10%
GST of 10% applies to most imported goods. GST-registered importers can join the Deferred GST scheme and pay it on their monthly BAS, but customs duty must still be paid before release.
SourceDuty: generally nil under ChAFTA
Under the China–Australia Free Trade Agreement, Australian tariffs on Chinese-origin goods were eliminated from 1 January 2019. You need a certificate or declaration of origin to claim it, except for consignments under A$1,000.
SourceThe A$1,000 threshold
Consignments over A$1,000 need a full import declaration. Air or sea cargo of A$1,000 or less uses a self-assessed clearance and is generally free of duty and GST at the border. Splitting orders to stay under it is not allowed.
SourceRegistration
Importers are identified in the ABF Integrated Cargo System by their ABN. A licensed customs broker can register you and lodge declarations on your behalf.
SourceACMA and the RCM for radio products
Smart home devices, cameras, smartwatches and other radio or telecom products must meet ACMA standards and carry the RCM, supplied by a registered responsible supplier.
SourceEESS for electrical equipment
In-scope electrical equipment needs an Australian or New Zealand responsible supplier. Level 3 (higher-risk) equipment must be registered on the EESS database with a certificate of conformity and carry the RCM.

About the team →Shenzhen Electronics for Australia, answered.
Who is the responsible supplier for EESS?
It must be an Australian or New Zealand business with an ABN or NZ IRD number, usually the importer. We provide the factory test reports and certificates you need to register.
Is there import duty on goods from China to Australia?
Under ChAFTA, Australian tariffs on Chinese-origin goods were eliminated from 1 January 2019, so most goods enter duty free when you have a certificate or declaration of origin. GST of 10% still applies.
Do I need a customs broker in Australia?
Consignments over A$1,000 need a full import declaration, which most importers lodge through a licensed customs broker. We work with your broker or recommend one.
