Ériu Sourcing is a China-to-Ireland sourcing business operated by Noel Murphy, trading as Ériu Sourcing, Springfield, Clonlara, Co. Clare, Ireland. For the purposes of GDPR and Irish data protection law, Noel Murphy is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), company name, and the content of your message.
  • Email correspondence: any personal data contained in emails you send to us.
  • WhatsApp communications: if you contact us via WhatsApp, we process the data shared in that conversation.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. If this changes, this policy will be updated.

Personal data you provide is used exclusively to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide the sourcing service you have requested.
  • Follow up on an existing conversation or open enquiry.
  • Maintain records of our communications with you for operational purposes.

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to respond to enquiries from businesses seeking sourcing services.

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): where you have explicitly provided consent, for example by submitting a contact form.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers: email hosting, website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), and form processing tools used to operate this site and respond to you. These providers act as data processors under our instruction.
  • Factories and suppliers in China: only where necessary to fulfil a sourcing engagement, and only the minimum data required (e.g. product specification and delivery details, not sensitive personal data).

Any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to China is made on the basis of contractual necessity in performing a service you have requested.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry and correspondence data for up to 3 years after the end of any engagement or enquiry, unless a longer retention period is required by law. After this period, personal data is securely deleted.

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
