EN 14960 is the European standard for inflatable play equipment safety. It covers design, manufacture, testing and operation, and insurers and licensing bodies in Europe commonly expect it. For European-market units, we check the Henan factory produces to EN 14960 and supply the test reports with the order. What PVC fabric specification should I order for commercial use?
Commercial event-hire bounce houses should be 0.55 mm PVC tarpaulin minimum, on a 1000-denier scrim base. For water parks and floating installations, 0.9 mm PVC is the commercial standard: heavier, more puncture-resistant and longer-lasting on water. Lower-spec 0.35 mm PVC is consumer or home grade and will not stand up to several events a week.
