The short answer: We manage private label and OEM production in Shenzhen and Dongguan and ship to Australia. With the right origin paperwork most Chinese-origin goods enter duty free under ChAFTA, GST is 10%, and electrical or radio products need EESS and ACMA compliance with the RCM.

The problem

The first order is easy. It is the third order, with a different material and no one telling you, that breaks a brand.

Private label goes wrong slowly. The golden sample was perfect, then the factory swaps a material to protect its margin, or a subcontractor makes your packaging, or your mould turns up in someone else's product. By the time reviews tell you, the stock is already on the water.

We put a team on the ground between you and the factory. Golden samples signed and kept, tooling ownership in writing, inspection against your specification on every run, and one person you can call.

  • Vetted factoriesManufacturers checked in person, with business licences, capacity and real production lines verified.
  • Samples and tooling managedGolden samples signed off and stored, moulds made to your spec with ownership in writing.
  • Packaging that sellsPrinted retail boxes, inserts, barcodes and labels made to your artwork in Dongguan.
  • QC on every runInspection against your specification before every shipment, not just the first.
Importing into Australia

What applies when you bring private label into Australia.

Checked 16 October 2026. Rules change, so we confirm what applies to your exact products and HS codes in your quote. This is general guidance, not legal or tax advice.

GST: 10%

GST of 10% applies to most imported goods. GST-registered importers can join the Deferred GST scheme and pay it on their monthly BAS, but customs duty must still be paid before release.

Duty: generally nil under ChAFTA

Under the China–Australia Free Trade Agreement, Australian tariffs on Chinese-origin goods were eliminated from 1 January 2019. You need a certificate or declaration of origin to claim it, except for consignments under A$1,000.

The A$1,000 threshold

Consignments over A$1,000 need a full import declaration. Air or sea cargo of A$1,000 or less uses a self-assessed clearance and is generally free of duty and GST at the border. Splitting orders to stay under it is not allowed.

Registration

Importers are identified in the ABF Integrated Cargo System by their ABN. A licensed customs broker can register you and lodge declarations on your behalf.

Origin paperwork for ChAFTA

To claim nil duty, the shipment needs a certificate or declaration of origin. We arrange it with the factory as part of the export documents.

Electrical and radio products

If your own-brand product is electrical or has a radio, EESS and ACMA rules apply, and the RCM goes on the product or label.
