The short answer: We manage private label and OEM production in Shenzhen and Dongguan for Canadian brands. You need a Business Number with an import-export account and a CARM portal account, GST of 5% is collected at the border, and electrical products need accredited certification.

The problem

The first order is easy. It is the third order, with a different material and no one telling you, that breaks a brand.

Private label goes wrong slowly. The golden sample was perfect, then the factory swaps a material to protect its margin, or a subcontractor makes your packaging, or your mould turns up in someone else's product. By the time reviews tell you, the stock is already on the water.

We put a team on the ground between you and the factory. Golden samples signed and kept, tooling ownership in writing, inspection against your specification on every run, and one person you can call.

  • Vetted factoriesManufacturers checked in person, with business licences, capacity and real production lines verified.
  • Samples and tooling managedGolden samples signed off and stored, moulds made to your spec with ownership in writing.
  • Packaging that sellsPrinted retail boxes, inserts, barcodes and labels made to your artwork in Dongguan.
  • QC on every runInspection against your specification before every shipment, not just the first.

CARM and your Business Number

Importers need a Business Number with an RM import-export account and a CARM Client Portal account. Release before payment needs the importer's own financial security, not the broker's.

Low-value relief from China: CAD 20

Shipments from China get duty and tax relief only up to CAD 20. The higher CAD 40 and CAD 150 courier thresholds apply only to goods shipped from the US or Mexico.

Electrical safety certification

If your own-brand product plugs in, it needs certification from an accredited body such as CSA, cUL or cETL before it is sold in Canada.

Getting it to you

Shipping from Shenzhen to Canada.

Express couriers deliver door to door from Shenzhen to Canada. It is the fastest route for phones, parts and samples, and we confirm the transit time with the carrier in your quote.

Larger orders go by sea from Yantian or Shekou to Vancouver or Prince Rupert. Sailing times depend on the carrier and the season, so we include the forwarder's current schedule with your price.
