Source EV chargers and components direct from China
China produces over 70% of the world's EV chargers: AC wallboxes, portable units, DC fast chargers, and the power modules and connectors inside them. Chinese hardware typically lands 30–50% below equivalent Western-branded units, with OCPP and smart billing support. From our base inside Zhengzhou's new-energy-vehicle ecosystem, Ériu Sourcing connects installers and charge-point networks worldwide to that supply, with factory vetting, pre-shipment QC and freight built in. We supply and ship. Installation is done by your own qualified installers.

Where ev chargers & components is made in China
Zhengzhou (Henan NEV cluster) • Shenzhen (power electronics)
Zhengzhou is a growing new-energy-vehicle hub, with dedicated NEV industrial parks, automotive-parts manufacturing zones and major battery and EV-component investment from groups such as SAIC Motor. Working from this base puts us inside a wider ecosystem of charger manufacturers and component suppliers, not isolated workshops. Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta add depth on power electronics: the rectifier modules, contactors, control boards and OCPP communication stacks inside both AC and DC chargers.

Compliance checked at the factory, not at your port
Ask about compliance documentation →EV charging hardware is safety-critical. We work only with factories that can provide the approvals your market needs: CE marking and RoHS for Europe, UKCA for Great Britain, UL listing for North America and RCM for Australia, backed by the relevant IEC test reports (IEC 61851 for the charging system, IEC 62196 for connectors). We check the documentation at the factory before shipment, not at your port.
Every order includes full compliance documentation. Goods that do not meet the standards for your market stay in China at the factory's cost, you do not pay freight on non-compliant products.
From your brief to goods landed at your door
Send a brief
Product name, quantity, quality grade, and target price. A photo or reference product is helpful. No commitment required to get a quote.
Factory identification
We identify and physically visit shortlisted ev chargers & components factories in Zhengzhou (Henan NEV cluster). Factory-gate pricing negotiated directly.
Pre-shipment QC
Finished goods inspected at the factory before the container is sealed. Compliance documentation verified. Failed goods stay in China.
Freight to your market
Sea, rail, air or express to your port or door, with the carrier schedule confirmed in your quote. Full documentation for customs clearance provided.
Sourcing ev chargers & components from China, the full picture
Charging networks are growing in every major EV market, and most of the hardware behind them is made in China. Rules on public charging, such as the EU Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), push operators to add high-power DC sites. Alongside them sit the private and semi-public AC chargers in homes, workplaces and depots. For installers and charge-point operators (CPOs) on tight budgets, hardware cost is the biggest lever on project economics. That is where buying direct from China pays.
What compliance actually requires
Going direct to China without oversight is where the horror stories start: factories without genuine certification, missed spec points on connectors or metering, and weak after-sales support. Each market has its own approval route. Europe needs CE marking and RoHS, Great Britain uses UKCA, North America expects UL listing and Australia requires RCM. Underneath sit the IEC standards: the IEC 61851 series for the charging system and IEC 62196 for plugs and connectors. Connector types also differ by market, for example Type 2 and CCS2 in Europe, and J1772, CCS1 or NACS in North America. We check that the factory documentation is genuine, current and applies to the exact models you are buying, and we arrange third-party lab testing where a pilot warrants it.
We supply and ship only. Installation, local wiring rules, grid connection and final sign-off are the responsibility of you and your qualified installer. Our job is to make the factory-side quality and documentation strong enough to support all of that, and to agree warranties (typically 2–5 years on hardware) and spare-parts plans so your network stays supportable. Why we operate from Zhengzhou →
Import duty and VAT or GST depend on the product code and your market. We quote landed cost for your country, including freight, duty and import tax. For the US, tariffs change often, so we quote the duty on the day you order.
In Europe, a certified AC wallbox that a distributor sells to installers at €550–€800 can be sourced ex-factory in China at roughly €250–€400, depending on spec and volume. On a DC site, swapping a €25,000 unit for a quality €15,000–€18,000 equivalent frees several thousand euros per site. That saving funds software, customer experience and site acquisition, the things that set a network apart.
EV Chargers & Components, sourcing questions answered
Can you source compliant EV chargers from China for my market?
Yes. We work only with factories that can provide the approvals your market needs, such as CE and RoHS for Europe, UKCA for Great Britain, UL listing for North America or RCM for Australia, backed by IEC 61851 and IEC 62196 test reports from a recognised lab. We check the documentation at the factory before shipment and supply it with the order. Installation, local wiring rules and final conformity are your responsibility; we make the factory-side documentation strong enough to support them.
How much can installers and CPOs save sourcing EV chargers direct from China?
Chinese charging hardware typically lands 30–50% below equivalent Western-branded units, thanks to manufacturing scale and vertical integration. In Europe, a certified AC wallbox that distributors sell at €550–€800 can be sourced ex-factory at roughly €250–€400. On DC, a €25,000 unit can often be matched on quality at €15,000–€18,000. We quote landed cost for your country before you order. The saving is largest on higher-power DC equipment, where Western brand margins are thickest.
What types of EV chargers and components can you source?
AC wallboxes (7.4 kW single-phase, 11 and 22 kW three-phase) with OCPP, RFID, app control and load balancing; pedestal and dual-socket AC units; compact 20–40 kW DC chargers for car parks and depots; 60–200 kW DC for corridor and fleet sites; modular DC systems up to 360 kW for hubs; and components including cables and connectors for your market, charge-gun assemblies, power modules, contactors and AC distribution boxes.
Do the chargers support OCPP and smart-charging back-ends?
Yes. Mature Chinese charger manufacturers support OCPP 1.6 and increasingly OCPP 2.0.1, with RFID, Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G connectivity, smart load management and solar integration on many AC lines. Before you commit to production, we confirm the exact OCPP version, back-end compatibility and metering options (including approved billing-grade metering where your market requires it) against your software partner's requirements.
How does a typical EV charger sourcing project run, from brief to delivery?
We map your requirements (AC/DC mix, power levels, connectors, OCPP and software needs, market approvals). We shortlist and physically vet charger factories with an export track record. We support sample orders and pilots, agree pricing, MOQs and any custom branding, and run pre-shipment QC in the Zhengzhou region and other hubs. Then we ship to your port with the documents needed for customs, and confirm the carrier schedule in the quote. Your own qualified installers handle installation and grid connection.
